National Association of Abandoned Mine Land Programs (NAAMLP) - a nonprofit organization of state and tribal agencies established to accomplish common goals and objectives related to the reclamation of abandoned mine lands.
Interstate Mining Compact Commission (IMCC) - a multi-state governmental agency / organization dedicated to the development and production of each state's mineral wealth through effective regulatory programs.
Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) - an agency of the U.S. Department of Labor working cooperatively with industry, labor and other federal and state agencies toward improving safety and health conditions for all miners. MSHA develops and enforces safety and health rules, helps mine operators who have special compliance problems and makes available technical, educational and other types of assistance.
